Mississauga, ON (July 12, 2005) – Unabated strength of the GTA’s resale housing sector has prompted the opening of a new RE/MAX office in Mississauga. RE/MAX Gateway Inc. will officially open its doors for business in mid-July.
“A sales force of several veteran associates is already in place,” says Manju Kuppa, Broker-Owner, RE/MAX Gateway Inc. “When the franchise is running at full capacity, we hope to see it house up to 100 sales representatives serving Mississauga and the surrounding communities.”
RE/MAX Gateway Inc., located at 1550 South Gateway Rd., will specialize in providing residential and commercial real estate services, notes Kuppa. A grand opening celebration for the new franchise is being planned for October.
Year-to-date sales in Mississauga have reached nearly 6,100 units, off slightly from last year’s record pace. Residential average price now hovers at $310,855 (January to June), up 6.5 per cent from 2004’s year-to-date average of $291,909. Favourable interest rates, at 40-year lows, and strong consumer confidence have prompted many—from first-time buyers to retirees—to make their moves.
